No Taxation Without Representation

"No Taxation without Representation" was a slogan that the colonists' used to protest against the unjust, oppressive taxes Parliament declared, such as the Sugar Act and Stamp Act. According to the Bill of Rights in 1689, taxation without representation was illegal and denied the colonists their rights as Englishmen.
